Build Your Team

Setting up budgets

Business and investing a team sports – so the question then becomes – Who’s on your team?

Bringing a team together is one of the most critical things that you will do in building your business. Your business is built with people and the sooner you understand this, the faster you will achieve your business goals. When structuring your team, we recommend using a functional organisation chart as an approach to filling the gaps in your business.

Your team can be brought together as employees, contractors, outsourced workers, virtual assistants or as third party professionals.

Your team is whoever you need to make things happen for your business. You need to be able to surround yourself with trusted and reliable people.

And when you are just starting out a new business or new division, there are certain key team members that you will need to bring on – we call these people your Dream Team.

Now The Dream Team that you build will depend upon the type of business that you are starting and there is no one size fits all approach.

We have put together a starter list of who we think might make up your dream team depending upon whether you are starting out, starting up, looking for stability in the business or looking to scale. There are two lists, the first is if you are starting out and the second is if you are starting up. These can be accessed in the resources section.

You can use the sixty:forty Directory to build your Team.

So, I’d like you to now ask yourself, “if money were no object what is the perfect service based starting team that would put together?” Would your team to include professionals like:

App Developers

Brand Creators

Digital Marketing Specialists

Grant Writers

A Lawyer

A Marketing Strategist

Web Designers including UX and UI

Web Developers for Front End and Backend

These are all people who either are or will be on our platform and who will use the sixty:forty Lab and sixty:forty Opportunities to evaluate new ideas – your ideas – with the view towards investing in you and your business or in the Project.

They do this because they are on the lookout for the next big thing and they are wanting to build their portfolio of hands-on investments.

‘Teamwork makes the Dream work’,  how can you work with and through others to launch your business or product.
